Ugu District, July 1, 2024 – Skhumbuzo Gasa, a proud product of the Ugu District Club Development, has been honored with the prestigious Referee of the Season award at the PSL (Premier Soccer League) Awards. This accolade recognizes Gasa’s exceptional skills, dedication, and contributions to the sport over the past season.

Who Are we?

Ugu District Municipality is one of the ten (10) district municipalities in the province of KwaZulu Natal which is one of the nine (9) provinces of the Republic of South Africa.

It is located in the South Coast. It is 5 866 km² in extent and boasts a spectacular coastline of 112 kilometres, which forms its eastern border. The region is bordered on the north by the Ethekwini Municipality, in the west by Umgungundlovu District Municipality and Harry Gwala Municipality and on the southern side it borders with the Eastern Cape Province.

What are water and sanitation rates?

Water and Sanitation Rates are levied annually on property that can be connected to Water and Sanitation services, but not yet linked to the reticulation system.

Once the property is connecting to the water and sanitation reticulation, rates will fall away and monthly basic charge will be levied weather there is consumption or not.

HOW DO I REGISTER TO BE A MEMEBER OF UGUSC?

Membership fees and subscriptions to be paid by Members are determined by the executive committee as may be deemed necessary, for approval by the General Assembly.
